Nearly every year Pong Javier coordinates delivery of Christian Education resources to churches in the Philippines. Last week Pong picked up 9 containers of extra Sunday school supplies, curricula, CDs and books from Trinity. For many years Christine Truxell, Pat Arce and Jacki Bogolia have been sorting, storing and packing materials to be recycled or reused in this ministry.
Pong (Aquilo) Javier is Lay Leader at Cosmopolitan United Church in Melrose Park, Chair of the NIC Older Adult Ministries, and Past President of the National Association of Filipino American United Methodists. We are grateful for his ministry and exemplary stewardship of these valuable resources.
