Ministry Spotlight: Outreach/Missions
Thank you, Lois Spillar and Wendi Thoursen for shining a Ministry Spotlight on Trinity’s Missions/Outreach team! Last Sunday the children enjoyed a scavenger hunt tour of our church’s missions at home and around the world. They followed clues and collected nonperishable foods donated for the food pantry and District 59 schools. After closely examining the Missions Map, Greg S. reported, “we’re trying to collect $6,700 this year! Wow!” Up in the classroom children helped identify different mission projects by marking special giving envelopes provided in the pews. Eavan remarked, “I was always wondering why those envelopes have a colored stripe across the top!” Finally, we took a tour of the new mi casa a su casa space and learned quite a bit about Trinity’s newest mission. (More details on this project coming soon!) Reach out to Wendi or Lois to find out how you can become involved in this dynamic ministry area – there is much to do and a place for everyone!
