Each year Trinity’s Outreach Committee picks 11 projects to emphasize – one a month (January to November). Click here for a chart showing what has been donated as of the end of the 3rd quarter. As of now, not all of the goals have been met. The emphasis for this month is Kids Above All and for November it is Trinity PADS. Donations for any of the projects can be made at any time, not just the Sunday when it is emphasized during the church service.
Girls 4 Girls – Ghana
Girls for Girls – Ghana’s goal is to provide young girls in Ghana with the education and resources that can ensure their safety as they mature.
- 132 Sanitary napkins
- 104 pairs of underwear
Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this happen. We will sew some more next year starting in January.
Mission Moment Sunday: CCSD 59
Community Consolidated School District 59 includes families living adjacent to our church building and in the surrounding neighborhoods of Mount Prospect, Elk Grove Village, Arlington Heights and Des Plaines. Trinity has been steadily building our community relationships and helping our neighbors!
Some recent ways Trinity has demonstrated God’s love: supplying grocery gift cards, hosting a free Encanto movie night, collecting quarters for laundromat machines, English language classes for native Spanish speakers, providing household items through Mi Casa a Su Casa, and participating in back to school activities/events.
Thank you Trinity for your continued encouragement of these important endeavors…you are allowing God’s work to be done in our community by bringing recognition and support to those needing assistance!
Ways to donate: on line (trinitymp.org/give), check made to Trinity United Methodist Church (CCDS59 in memo), mission envelope in the pews racks, or bring cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products or diapers for the collection bin by Door #1.

If you couldn’t be present in-person for the Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, there is a backpack tag waiting for you at the church! A prayer to begin the school year:
- God, our friend who is always with us, be with us as we begin a new school year.
- Be with us as we ride the bus.
- Be with us as we learn at home and in our school buildings.
- Be with us as we walk.
- Be with us as we buckle seat belts, zip-up jackets, and tie shoes. However we get there, and whatever we wear, bless this journey into something new.
- For the grown-ups going back to school, With-Us God, be with them too.
- Thank you for our teachers, support staff, bus drivers, helpers, caregivers, and leaders, and for all they do to help us learn and grow.
- God, our friend who’s full of wonder, bless us with minds and hearts ready to learn! Amen.
