Outreach Giving 2024

In December, gifts were bought by Trinity members for 38 children through Kids Above All, and several bags of items from our Warming Tree were donated to Journeys. Thank you!

The generosity of Trinity is truly amazing. Check out the amounts given to missions in 2024 (link here).  
The missions selected for 2025 are:

Global/Disaster Relief:
   UMCOR 
   Mujila Falls Agricultural Research Center, Zambia
Missionary:
   Rev. Jane Eesley in Jerusalem
U.S.- Based Projects:
   Tree of Life Ministry – Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota
Local:
   Kids Above All, Sammool House. he Night Ministry, Kenneth Young Center (LGBTQ+), Food4Kids (School Dist. 59)
Trinity Local:
   Meals for the Unhoused (PADS & Summer Suppers)
   Good Samaritan fund

Each month, one mission will be highlighted. Money can be donated at any time of the year for any of these missions or “other” through the pew mission envelopes or online giving!

January Mission Moment: The Good Samaritan

This month’s Mission Moment is the Good Samaritan Fund. Our pastor serves as trustee of this fund which supports community members in need of urgent or immediate assistance within limits. This primarily takes the form of providing gas gift cards, or gift cards for food, diapers, etc. at a Jewel / Osco or Target-type store. This fund aims to provide emergency aid in a manner that fosters independence rather than dependency, which is consistent with the mission of Trinity.

A Recipe for Joy!

Items collected for the Village Food Pantry on Thanksgiving Sunday have been delivered! (Bins will remain in the narthex for collections year-round.) 
With Christmas carols and festive lights, tables of yummy cookies, and 2+ parking lots full ~ The 2024 Cookie Walk was a success. Thank you Miss Carole, and to all who baked, worked, bought, set-up and made quick work for putting away. Over $950 was raised to support UWFaith’s missions. Let’s do it again next year!

Warming Tree 2024

Let’s Add More Mittens, Hats and Socks to our Warming Tree!

Throughout December–-bring hats, gloves, mittens, scarves (for adults and children) for our “Warming Tree” in Trinity’s church lobby. Donations are given to Kids Above All and children in our community to help them stay warm during winter months.
