God Bless Our Confirmands!

We confirmed these students this past Sunday, remembering our baptism and praying for them in this step of faith.  With all of the stops and starts of Confirmation Class before and after the quarantine phase of the pandemic, some of these youth have been in the confirmation process for 3 years now!  Please continue to pray for them!  

They were each asked to choose a favorite bible verse to which has/will guide them, and an area of leadership/service at Trinity for the future.  May God guide them and us in our journey together!

Thank you to Ben Graham, Director of Youth Ministries, for planning and leading the delicious breakfast before worship, and to all of his team!  It was a day full of blessings at Trinity!

It’s Almost Easter!

Dear Trinity Church and Friends:

It’s almost Easter! The last time we gathered for a “normal” Easter worship was 2019!!! Can you believe that? Even last year, we were limiting attendance and seating due to observing safety protocol during the pandemic. I am so looking forward to seeing many of you in person on April 17, as we join our voices and hearts and minds together in song, prayer and praise! As always, we will continue to offer worship on zoom and facebook, so that those who need to connect at home may join us in Christian community!

In this journey of Lent, we have tapped into the meaning and power of the Lord’s Prayer — praying it each day, but also being challenged to live out those words, to put legs on our prayers! You’ve done this through your giving to the people of Ukraine, and the humanitarian efforts of United Methodist Committee on Relief (which partners with on the ground local organizations) — I give thanks for over $1,200 given as a sign of our prayers.

We’ve continued to to open wide the doors of our building, as we welcome you back for in person worship, Sunday School, youth group and confirmation class.

We are “coming back after covid” as we welcome children, youth and new members to Trinity!
Andy and Seana McPherson move furniture to be able to offer to it to a family in need.

We’ve reached out way beyond our walls, forming a new ministry to the community: Mi Casa a Su Casa, (from my home to your home) to assist low-income families in our community with basic housing needs (furniture, kitchen needs and more). Look for more info soon about how to get connected to this ministry, sponsored by our Outreach/Missions Team, and headed up by Seana McPherson.

We’ve moved forward with our capital improvements, as we plan for the final stage of our HVAC overhaul for the sanctuary, narthex and office areas. YOUR generosity and ongoing commitment to our Future With Hope Campaign has made this much-needed deferred maintenance possible!

Meet at 10:20 in the narthex (church lobby) to join the palm processional; Trinity Brass will offer beautiful music, our students/confirmation class will offer a special invite to Maundy Thursday Dinner church!

April 14 Maundy Thursday Dinner Church, 6 pm
Reserve your spot for this simple dinner and worship experience for all ages!

Our confirmation students will be preparing and serving dinner — contributions cover costs plus support our Student Mission Week this summer!

In thanksgiving for all that God is doing and will do through this Trinity congregation and community, we invite you to offer an Easter gift to our ministries, over and above your gifts and tithing.
