Trinity Christmas Giving To Missions
December 15, 2021
Dear Trinity Faith Community, Friends and Partners in Mission:
As 2021 draws to a close, I hope and pray that you will experience the true gifts of Christmas: peace, hope, joy and love. I join our Trinity leaders in expressing our gratitude for each of you. It’s been quite a year for us all! The generous response to A Future With Hope Campaign this fall has been an incredible testimony to the resilience, generosity, and faithfulness of our congregation.
With all of the challenges of this past year, we remain fully committed to living into this vision:
A Center for Community, with Christ at the Center
To do this, we want to intentionally build relationships with our neighbors near and far! Will you join us in loving our neighbors, by offering a gift? Our Trinity Christmas giving will be offered to two of our partner organizations:
- WINGS: Women In Need Growing Stronger
offering housing, services, education and advocacy, to end domestic violence
- UMCOR: United Methodist Committee on Relief
an international aid ministry, offering disaster relief all over the world
You can give online through the link here.
We invite you to join us for worship on Christmas Eve, December 24.
- 3 p.m. worship: casual, with the Praise Band, Carols, and the Christmas Story (in person only)
- 7 p.m. worship: lessons and carols, choirs and candles, and the Hallelujah! Chorus (online and in person)
May God bless you and yours in this holy season. May your life be a house for all that is holy and just, good and righteous. May Jesus be born again in our hearts, for our own sake, and for the healing of the world!
Every Blessing,
Pastor Wendy Hardin Hermann
Future With Hope for Nov. 7
This Sunday, November 7, we’ll launch the final phase of our Future With Hope: Mission and Ministry Campaign, with an invitation to our Days of Prayer. Look for a daily email from Trinity for your private or family devotion, plus a zoom link to join us for morning prayer each weekday at 6:05 a.m. (listen in while you exercise, drink your coffee/tea, or commute!) For those of you in person, you’ll receive a packet of information, prayer cards and more . . . we’ll mail out/deliver that week to those who aren’t in person that day. We’ll also have a special announcement about some early commitments – thank you to our “Pacesetters”– who’ve offered that already!
November 21 is Commitment Sunday
And a time of giving thanks. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., we’ll offer a “Muffins and More”Continental Breakfast, in the far end of the narthex. Come any time before worship at 10:30 to enjoy muffins, yogurt and toppings, coffee tea and juice, and some good fellowship with Trinity friends. Can’t wait to see you as we prayerfully offer our commitment for a future with hope! Click here or on the menu to download the pdf.
Packing 4 Patriots
We are still collecting items by the Sanctuary (Door #1) for Packing for Patriots. Items that are needed: paperback books, magazines, small containers of deodorant (mens & womens), hot chocolate, and leftover Halloween candy.
For Christmas they would love to collect Santa hats (the gnome themed ones are being collected this year – and apparently can be found at Dollar Stores), plus gnome socks and boots – how fun!
