Trinity Invited to CCSD 59 Back to School Events this Weekend

Once again Trinity Church has been invited to participate in back-to-school events hosted by Community Consolidated School District 59.  We are excited to connect in-person with families, provide children’s activities, and share information about Trinity with our neighbors at John Jay Elementary on August 5 and Oasis Mobile Home Park on August 6th.

Last year Trinity was the only church represented at the Back to School Fair! It was hugely successful in terms of building awareness,  generating goodwill in the community, and moving us closer to meeting two of our Team 2020 goals:

  • Identify who is our neighbor and what they are looking for
  • Build bridges of relational connection with new people.

Show up with Trinity this weekend between 11am-1:30 pm!

Safe Sanctuaries Training

Next Safe Sanctuaries Training Events:

Saturday, August 6 – 10 am  at Christ UMC in Rockford or AUGUST 20, 1 pm at Des Plaines UMC
(668 Graceland Avenue) Zoom or in-person for both

Our Northern Illinois Conference is requiring all adults who interact with Trinity children and youth to participate in a free, 90-minute Safe Sanctuaries Training event before August 11, 2022. Click here for dates the training will be offered and to register.

Encanto Movie Night at Trinity!

Friends of all ages are invited to Trinity on Friday, August 12 for live music followed by a movie in the sanctuary. Enjoy snacks at 5:30 and sing with Miss Carole at 6pm. Then, settle in with your pillow or stuffie to watch Disney’s Encanto.
